Policy Manager, Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, 2019 – present 

  • Work to protect victims of human trafficking, refugees and asylum seekers

  • Published high-profile research with progressive policy ideas to reform the immigration system and improve the skills of Scotland’s workforce 


Save the Children, 2014 – 2015, 

  • Campaigned to improve the lives of impoverished children in the UK and around the world 


Foreign Office, 2011 – 2014

  • Attaché for justice and home affairs at the British Embassy in Paris

  • Represented the UK on trade policy at the OECD
